Frequently asked questions

What is MyTrustbyCNB?

MyTrustbyCNB is a trust product offered through CNB. It lets you place assets or insurance proceeds in a trust managed by a professional trustee according to your instructions. Vivien Cheah Kit Wan of VL Legacy Solutions is a CNB Amanah advisor and can explain how it works and whether it suits your family.

Why use a trust for children under 18?

Children under 18 cannot manage large sums of money themselves. A trust lets a professional trustee hold the money and release it for education, living costs or other purposes you choose, so the funds are used as you intended.

Do I still need a will if I have a trust?

Usually, yes. A trust only covers the assets placed in it. A will deals with everything else, names an executor and can appoint a guardian for your children, so the two work best together.
